GRI Standards Certified Training Program & Sustainability Reporting is aiming at providing the fundamental principles and methodological framework of GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards. It addresses all types of organizations, both public and private sector and across all levels within the organizations.

The GRI Standards are the first global standards for sustainability reporting. They feature a modular, interrelated structure, and represent the global best practice for reporting on a range of economic, environmental and social impacts.

Egypt’s 3rd Annual Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy: “Sustainable Finance and Green Investment”
Dr. Ehab Shalaby CEO of DCarbon Egypt, participated as a moderator in the “Responsible Finance and the Future of SMEs” session of Egypt’s 3rd Annual Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy: “Sustainable Finance and Green Investment”, held on 14 June 2021 and organized by CSR Egypt under the patronage of Prime Minister H.E Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.
The session brought together bankers, investment professionals, and impact asset managers to share visions and review the challenges and opportunities of the Egyptian market’s post-pandemic future, driving green recovery, digital transformation, and sustainability excellence while transitioning toward more sustainable and resilient business practices.
Dr. Ehab Shalaby, PhD had also the opportunity to discuss with Dr. Mahmoud Mohieldin, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) about Egypt’s progress status during the session: “Aligning ESG, SDGs and Net Zero for Sustainability and Progress”.

DCarbon & the QNB ALAHLI Bank accomplished a new milestone in the bank sustainability journey by certifying QNB ALAHLI’s Sustainability Ambassadors on GRI Sustainability Reporting. DCarbon, as a GRI-certified training partner in Egypt, delivered to QNB ALAHLI a 2-day certified training on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Sustainability Reporting Standards.

DCarbon Egypt proudly announces a new national benchmark for the Egyptian Healthcare sector. DCarbon delivered to Integrated Diagnostics Holdings – IDH a dedicated GRI Training Program on Sustainability Reporting on 17-18 March 2021 at IDH’s headquarters in Cairo.

DESA in cooperation with ESCWA, UNRC and in partnership with Government of Egypt represented by Ministry of International Cooperation is organized a national webinar on 17 December 2020 during 3:00 PM to 6:00 Pm Cairo Time (8:00 AM to 11:00 AM NY Time).

The webinar in Egypt is one of a series of webinars targeting West Asia and North Africa countries and aiming at strengthening the integrated planning capacity of national stakeholders involved in COVID-19 recovery policies and building back better towards achieving the 2030 Agenda and its SDGs.

The webinar brought together a wide range of Government, CSOs and private sector representatives engaged in national implementation of the COVID-19 recovery plans and building back better towards the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs in Egypt. The webinar included the efforts of Vodafone Egypt and the Commercial International Bank (CIB) and representatives from DESA, ESCWA, UNRC, United Nations Country Team and other development partners in Egypt.

DCarbon Egypt (DC) & The Solar Company (TSC) Announces Their Strategic Partnership

 10th October 2020 

DCarbon Egypt and The Solar Company are proud to announce their strategic partnership with the shared vision to drive transition towards a low carbon economy through incentivizing renewable energy production and consumption.

The consortium has long and extensive experience in corporate sustainability, sustainable finance, climate change mitigation and renewable energy projects. DC and TSC will work together in developing new business models and incentives to public and private sectors, government, IOs, and civil society and individual customers that motivates the transition towards new and renewable energy production and consumption in Egypt.

The consortium will utilize integrated analytical digital tools to support strategic and sustainable business solutions. The consortium will also develop and implement training and capacity building programs for utilization of solar energy, engaging in joint communication, project proposal development and project implementation.

In November 2020, the consortium will launch the first of its kind Certificate of GHG Emission Reduction for 400 small scale solar systems deployed by TSC. The certificates will be assured by Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), a global third-party assurance provider. The certificates aims at incentivizing the deployment of small solar system energy solutions.
The official launch of the DC-TSC strategic partnership was introduced during the Sustainable finance Executive Training Programme organized by Dcarbon Egypt and Global Sustain on 27-28 September at JW Marriott Hotel Cairo with the presence of leading Egyptian and regional banks who are actively engaging in sustainable finance and investments on solar energy projects.

A cooperation protocol has been signed by Dr. Ehab Shalaby, Chairman of DCarbon and RISC Legal Academy, and Mohamed Agamy, Managing Partner of Links & Gains Law Firm.

The cooperation  is a long term Strategic Alliance, aims to leverage and capitalize on the  expertise and strength of the two firms  to empower Egypt’s efforts in the implementation of the 17 UN  Sustainable Development  Goals .  A key driver  to  attract  foreign direct investments, a continuous analysis is conducted to measure the status of Egypt’s progress on each goal in relation to the international level

The protocol includes a number of  awareness workshops on the economic, social, environmental and legal dimensions on Sustainable Development Goals and methods  of regulatory and policies reporting.

The 1st workshop was  attended by 62 Oil & Gas companies hosted by ECHEM on the 25th of June 2019.
