DCarbon team, leading the process of Sustainable Transition in Egypt is thrilled to publish the Alexandria Mineral Oils Co – AMOC 1st Sustainability Report in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.
Alexandria Mineral Oils Company (AMOC) has been serving the Oil & Gas sector in Egypt since 1997. AMOC
is part of Egypt’s massive oil refinery capacity, and has effective contribution to the national economy in securing the energy demand.
AMOC 2018 Sustainability Report is core to sustainable businesses and operations. Going through the report, you will discover its balanced approach towards the three pillars of sustainable development.
AMOC’s business strategy is a response to and aligned with the Oil & Gas sector Modernization Program pillars and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
AMOC’s commitment to Paris Agreement and the necessity of taking serious actions to combat climate change challenges is clearly defined in its approach towards achieving low-carbon economy, striving to improve its environmental impacts through initiatives and actions taken to reduce its Greenhouse Gas emissions to help keep the global temperature rise well below 2 degrees Celsius.
AMOC supports employees’ welfare, health, safety and the power of youth and feels responsible for allowing AMOC young professionals to take the lead. Such an interactive relation has created, what they call “AMOC’s Citizenship”.
AMOC’s first Sustainability Report, can set a benchmark and lead the sustainability practices in the Oil & Gas sector in Egypt.
