The Egyptian Exchange is the first Exchange Globally to train and certify all listed companies on preparing sustainability reports in accordance with internationally recognized standards and principles.

Honoring DCarbon Team & Listed Companies Representatives by The Egyptian Exchange & EGX Foundation for Sustainable Development

Cairo, 7th of July 2022

DCarbon Egypt would like to extend its appreciation to The Egyptian Exchange and EGX Foundation for Sustainable Development for the continuous support and the honorary ceremony held on the occasion of training and certifying 104 listed companies’ representatives on preparing sustainability reports in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards.

These efforts come within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between DCarbon & the Egyptian Exchange Foundation for Sustainable Development and under the auspices of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Exchange, which aims to raise the efficiency of representatives of listed companies in preparing sustainability reports in accordance with international standards, notably the global reporting initiative standards.

This step comes due to the importance of these reports in attracting sustainable investments and financing locally and globally, and comes to supplement the national efforts in fostering sustainability practices and fighting climate change, especially after the international community vested its trust in Egypt to host COP27 next November in Sharm El-Shiekh.

It is worth noting that the training for the rest of the listed companies will be completed in September and October 2022, and hence the Egyptian Exchange will be the first Exchange Globally to train and certify all listed companies on preparing sustainability reports in accordance with internationally recognized standards and principles.

Finally, DCarbon Egypt wishes to extend its appreciation to the Global Reporting Initiative for all the efforts exerted in developing the standards and certifying the representatives of listed companies, in addition to participation in the honorary Ceremony.
