VNR is an important report that allow the United Nations to monitor and track progress toward achieving the global sustainable development agenda.
It is presented at the annual high-level political forum on sustainable development (HLPF). Agenda 2030 implementation follows a path that is country led, considers national circumstances, and acknowledge country’s ownership. Moreover, the approach is voluntary, transparent, and participatory as well as based on robust evidence. The process is intended to facilitate learning from national experiences and to promote accountability to citizens.
Formulating Multi-Stakeholder Planning Process, that is essential to identify the efforts done in each area related to the relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the challenges in each area
Identify and map the national priorities, strategies, and policies with the relevant SDGs.
Prepare/ follow monitoring methodology, and assign/ develop relevant key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the progress.
Measure and analyze progress toward achieving the relevant SDGs and identify the deviation and gaps using the KPIs
Prepare the final report and road ahead action plan
