90 World Leaders to Attend COP27 in Egypt


“We’ve received a large number of confirmations from around the world, I think the last count was about 90 heads of state but the numbers keep coming in,” explained Wael Aboulmagd to Reuters, Egypt’s special representative to the COP27 president, Sameh Shoukry.

Egypt’s Environment Minister, AFD discuss bilateral cooperation ahead of COP 27


Minister of Environment Yasmine Fouad met with representatives of the French Agency for Development (AFD) on Sunday to discuss bilateral cooperation in the context of Egypt’s preparations to host and organise the UN Conference of Parties on Climate Change (COP 27). More specifically, it discussed cooperation in initiatives that will be announced during the COP 27.

COP27: African actors in Dakar Declaration on sustainable mobility, climate change


The participants met in Dakar, Senegal in a five-day summit, organised by Climate Chance before the 27th Conference of the Parties (COP 27) in Egypt, where the financing of adaptation, loss and damage will be at the heart of the negotiations, noted the importance of developing large-scale actions on the African continent.

Pre-COP27 meeting ends in Kinshasa


Delegates from over 50 countries participated in a pre-COP27 meeting held in DRC’s capital, Kinshasa. The purpose of the event was to prepare for the COP27 summit taking place in Egypt in November.

“The objective was to reach an agreement on funding money that reflects the needs of developing countries.” Said the DRC’s senior climate negotiator.

COP27 presents Egypt financing opportunities for sustainable development

Egypt is considering dozens of national green and sustainable development projects as part of the government’s plan to adapt to climate change and switch to green sustainable development, as it prepares to host the UN Climate Change Conference.
